This might be a little disjointed and short because I'm tired but I did want to put up a post today. First, I want to encourage everyone to go nominate their favourite crowdfunding projects for the Rose & Bay Awrds. Relevant posts can be found in the
crowdfunding community. (Sorry for the lack of proper links, I'm out of spoons today.) The nomination deadline is January 31, and voting will be February 1-28.
Second, I missed some daily things again this week, although I did make up some too. Dinner this week was Pecan Crusted Chicken, and it turned out alright but I definitely needed to either butterfly or pound down the chicken breasts. They were pan cooked and the recipe called for 4oz breasts, but mine were probably 7 or so and therefore had a hard time cooking all the way. On the plus side, I learned something useful and I got to use the meat thermometer my mom bought me for Christmas for the first time, so it ended up ok. I didn't do the dishes Monday and jury's out about tonight, but I really should do them. My mom invited me to do a 21 day Pilates, yoga, barre challenge, and while I haven't done it every day I have done all the videos up to this point. It's been interesting although I'm not such a fan of the style of yoga in the challenge (I like my usual stuff better) and I'm not sure how I feel about pilates. I do like the barre workouts though, so that's another thing I can look for when I need healthy things to do.
Third, I'm going to a park with my sister this weekend that has winter trails available. It sounds like it will be fun but it's quite a drive so it's gonna be a long day. Getting out to be active will be good though, so I'm looking forward to that.
Fourth, I have a bunch of snowflake posts to catch up on, Rose & Bay nominations to make, entries to write and mittens to knit. I'm hoping to get a lot of that done in the next few days, but we'll have to see how it goes. I'm also planning on making a review post about my goals at month's end, if I remember and manage to squeak out the spoons. I'm going to try to do one each month, but I'm not sure yet how well that will work.
I hope everyone has been having a good January, and that the weekend to come is a great one. Stay warm and have fun!

Date: 2022-01-28 03:54 am (UTC)And good meat thermometers FTW!
May your spoons self-replicate, and may your days be warm and cozy, your dreams (the good ones) come true, and your nightmares go to the politician of your choice.
