Challenge 1

Hi, I'm Fuzzyred and I'm going to start off by saying that this is my first time doing the Snowflake challenge and I'm inexplicably nervous, so bare with me if I start rambling or if I don't reply to comments right away.
About me... I love to read, I like baking, rollerblading, biking, swimming, horseback riding, knitting, crocheting, spending time with family, doing puzzles, learning languages, and yoga. I dabble in cooking and gardening, although those skills are still in the acquisition phase and more out of necessity than any great passion.
Fandoms I like include Harry Potter, NCIS, Sherlock, Three Musketeers, Marvelverse (mostly Avengers), and Hockey RPF, though I will read any variety of things if the content piques my interest. Occassionally this leads to confusion on my part, because I will be lacking important canon knowledge (or any cannon knowledge) but I've found some great stories and fandoms this way, so I'm going just keep jumping in and hoping for the best.
I don't create much fanwork myself, although I consume copius amounts of it. In recent months I have gotten more into writing, so there might be fanfics in the future, but so far everything has been original content, what little I have written.
I'm an introvert and kind of shy and (in my mind) very awkward around new people, so I might not always be the fastest to respond or the most outgoing, but I promise I don't bite and I do enjoy making news friends. I'm off to check that my profiles are up-to-date, both here and on AO3 (NCIS_Sherlock for anyone interested), because it's been awhile since I looked at them. Feel free to leave a comment if you want to say ho, and I'll do my best to respond in a timely manner.

That's exactly how I feel about cooking, lol! (My brother and s-i-l got me a little plaque that says 'I only have a kitchen because it came with the house' and that is so true. *g*)

Date: 2022-01-06 08:44 pm (UTC)I think that list made me sound more active than I am 😆 Mostly all I do right now is skipping for cardio, though I do try to get around to the other physical interests at least occassionally when the weather is right.
Lol, I can relate to that feeling, although some of it may also be that cooking for just one kind of bites. Either too many leftovers or you have to cook pretty much every day.

Date: 2022-01-07 04:09 pm (UTC)There is also an awesome series, Back Up There by Scribetuesday on AO3. It isn't hockey RPF because the characters are all fictional, and it is based on the British Hockey leagues, but it's an awesome read if you're up for something off the beaten path.

Date: 2022-01-08 04:23 am (UTC)I'll have to check out the series you recced, it sounds interesting. One of my online friends got me started with hockey fiction and once you start with one book from Amazon, there are entire series that pop up on your recs list. I'd recommend the Harrisburg Railers Series by RJ Scott & VL Locey (it's a gateway to a ridiculous number of books)- the romance is nice and the hockey action & locker room scenes are quite well-written.
