I figured that since I named my journal "Fuzzyred's Marvel Reading Nook", I would make this week's post about Marvel. It is a giant fandom, and I like it a lot, so there will probably be many future Saturday posts about it as well.
I really enjoy reading stories about the Avengers, because there is a lot to explore. Canon gives a lot to work with, as well as leaving a lot of gaps or unsatisfying points that people want to fix. It allows for creative storytelling to take place and results in a great variety of stories to read.
My favourite pairing to read is probably Clint/Coulson, because I enjoy both of those characters a lot. I might also have a small competency kink and both of those guys are badass as f***. I like reading the stories where the author delves further into the many facets of their relationship and shows their growth. They are both far from perfect and it is nice to see where they came from and how they move forward from where they are now.
Do you have a favourite pairing in Marvel? Why do you like that pairing? What would you like to see more of for your pairing/the fandom in general? Are there any pairings you or types of stories you absolutely won't read?

Really would like to see more of that... she was a fun character and she deserves more screen time. [man, would that be a weird sort of poly relationship though!]
Hmmm
Date: 2019-01-27 02:13 pm (UTC)The Valkyrie certainly was a fun character, and not too 2-dimensional. I can totally see her and Hulk working together in a fight, having firendly(ish) competitions, and having "discussions" about fighting techniques. I'm not sure I could see them in a physical relationship though.
I could also see Natasha and Hulk having a friendship, although a very different one from the Valkyrie. For all that Natasha is fierce, Hulk seems to bring out he gentle side. I could see her letting Hulk complain about other people (maybe especially Bruce) and maybe giving him some cuddles if needed. (That last might have some influence from

and of course, JARVIS takes care of everyone..

JARVIS is the best. He watches over everyone and makes sure they are ok. I'd like to see him talking any/all of the Avengers down from a freak out when no one else is around to help. I think he'd be rather good at it.

It would be interesting to see which way he goes. Or perhaps he isn't interested in anything beyond close friendships and Bruce is the one that has the more ... intimate relationships.
